Canvass Properties was founded by San Francisco native, homeowner, landlord and full-time real estate broker Joan Laguatan. Raised in San Francisco and on the Peninsula, Joan graduated with a degree in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco. She began her real estate career as a Broker-Associate with Coldwell Banker in 2003, then worked for a real estate developer, becoming Sales Manager for the Bay Area Peninsula’s largest luxury waterfront condominium subdivision.
Joan later formed Canvass Properties to address her client’s unique needs amidst the evolving real estate landscape. Joan has closed hundreds of transactions across eight Bay Area counties representing companies, lenders, institutions, investors, individuals and families. She sits on the boards of nonprofits SF Sinai Memorial and senior affordable housing development Menorah Park and actively gives back to the community while supporting animal welfare causes.
